Our brandmark

The Software AG brandmark is the cornerstone of our identity.​​​​​​​

 

1. Overview

Our brandmark is a fixed asset made up of a symbol and wordmark.

2. Software AG logo family

Our collection of logos includes the Primary Logo (Horizontal lock-up), Secondary Logo (Vertical lock-up), and Software AG Symbol.

​​​​​​​We lead with our primary logo most of our communications, key expressions, and touchpoints across our brand.

The secondary logo is best used as an alternative option when space is a concern, i.e., square or vertical compositions.

​​​​​​​The Software AG symbol is to be used on a limited basis for special projects.

3. Brandmark guidelines

The Software AG logo, wordmark, and symbol have been carefully designed and constructed to create the best possible viewing experience. Because these elements are the most important distinguishing features of our brand, it is important that they are always applied as intended and in a consistent manner.

These few simple rules will help you use our logo to communicate the Software AG brand most effectively.

The horizontal logo lock-up is our primary brandmark.


We lead with the Primary Logo, using it for all key expressions and 88% of our communication needs. The secondary logo is best used as an alternative option when space is a concern, while the Software AG symbol is used for special use cases. For example, product logos, the Software AG favicon, social media profile images, and some unique promotional branding material.

4. Color variations

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Our brandmark comes in four color variations: 
1 color versions are for exceptional use where gradient colors are not suitable.

5. Spacing

Our brandmark works best with plenty of space around it. The minimum clear space is based upon the x-height of the colored 'flow' in our symbol.

6. Minimum size

The logo should not be used below our minimum sizes. There are different minimum sizes for print and digital.

Product logos

Each of our product logos is available in four color schemes: full-color dark, full-color light, 1-color, and white. The full-color versions use the Software AG gradient color and work best on a core dark, white, or light gray background. The white version should be used on dark backgrounds, and the 1-color version can be used when the hierarchy calls for the logo to recede, but should always be evaluated for adequate contrast. 1-color versions are for exceptional use where gradient colors are not suitable.
